What does it mean to have a strategy? In blitz, as in normal chess, you can't go into every game with the same strategy, as it all depends on the positions. Generally, I would say that if you are low on time, try to keep the positions simple, and try to complicate things if your opponent is low on time. Always keep track of how much time you have, but don't let it become more important than the board position.

By 'blitz'.. {'chess' of course} - What 'time-control' is your favorite? .. As there are several.
I have been playing 1-10 minutes on here, real new to me. I have played longer time controls to better success, using KID/KIA, and more recently the London. Chess.com considers it all blitz it appears, anything above the 10 minutes I think.
Good day everyone, I have a question for you guys that play blitz chess...What's a great strategy for it? I am familiar somewhat with the London and KID, but just not enough to really use them and win with any real solid results. I mean do you blitz guys even have a strategy? I have just recently started blitz and its pretty fun, while I lose more often than not...It still is pretty addictive. Please help me, because experienced chess players in blitz, I promise I wont ever checkmate you or even have a chance to play you anyway, I am honestly better at longer time controls, however when I do win at blitz its so much fun.. As a 16 year old, I have a hard time with playing long time controls..Anyway.. Thanks in advance!
