Blitz players, with higher higher ratings that rapid

I see a lot of people who are about 2000-2500 who are waaaaayy higher rating in blitz than rapid, why is that? I have trouble improving in blitz but rapid is no problem but for some of you it’s reversed, can I get a look into your minds?
