Enemy pawns can potentially be good "Umbrella" for your King in case of Queen or Rook endgames.

Here the pawn protects the hostile King, question is wether the pawn should be given negative value ?!
Sometimes in blitz this trick may save you from annoying checks for a while.
White have somehow formed something that resembles a artificial castling formation. In blitz with few seconds remaining on the clock this is likely the way to go instead of capturing the pawns.
