Hi!. I recently started playing correspondence chess and joined a u1500 tournament. I figured that in this kind of chess i'd have a lot more time than in blitz. My blitz rating is about 1400 (bullet is 1600 ish since i enjoy playing fast) but i noticed my Correspondence chess rating is over 1600.
I'm really new to correspondence chess, but does my rating go up? Or is it currently over rated and fall back down after a few games :S.
Also, online compared to otb, do ratings really change if your time limit changes?
In bullet games, reflexes are more important, while in correspondence, players who are willing to spend a long time sitting and analyzing the same position are likely to do better. Different players are better at different time controls. Perhaps you are better at correspondence than blitz.
