Please offer an alternative. In what way is Forum Trolling a better way of making a career than Playing Blitz?
Hm...looks like it's about a tie. 
You only have 5 mins to find all your moves, you're bound to make some bad ones. It should have next to no affect in your slow game. You're not going to LEARN from Blitz however, except maybe pattern recognition and your openings. You need to study to learn.

and this heinzie doesnt even play chess. he just responds to forums all day. hes played like 10 games in 3 years. what a loser. looks like he needs a friend. lol

I seem to be the other way round, i can play blitz ok, but i'm useless at standard. Guess that just makes me a time player :/

i do at times. for my more complex positions. i think it helps have a deeper understanding.

well i started regular games. 5 0f them. im 4-1 while playing 1300-1400 players. while in blitz, i win about 44% of my games while my opponent avg is 1308. good so far...

Sounds like time management mistakes to me. Your slow games happen to be "covering/masking them" but they are clearly exposed in your faster games.
Look up Dan Heisman's Novice Nook titled the Two Triggers and give it a read. it might clue you into behaviors you are displaying in blitz games that are hurting you.
Another reason is that blitz without a time delay/increment is an entirely different game where race-condition monkey business/distractions/nonsense moves actually help you win games (atleast at the amateur level!)
Just trying play blitz with a 5-second increment and seeing if that suits you better. This form of blitz is slightly more "chess" and less "game the bastard on the clock" and does not easily reward nonsensical moves the way 3-0 or 5-0 often does.

Playtowinthegame uttered the observation that I need one friend more - and he may well be right. That's why I inquired if that might have been an indirect offer to be my new friend, considering his apparently kind and generous type of character, he probably has room in his heart for one more person. No response unfortunately.
Moreover, playtowinthegame made the casual observation that I am a big loser; but surprisingly not on the right grounds - because I have played only three games. If only he knew thatn umber is a lot closer to fifty thousand... probably my new friend will see that as even more confirmation and consider me the biggest loser of the Interweb. Aawww... :p

for the past couple of months, i have only played blitz. a few hundred 5 minute games. i can not improve. but my regular rating is 500 points higher than blitz. (1700-1200)so i dont suck. can anybody help me out here1!????
