I'm wondering if there's something to this. A number of people have mentioned they have a difficult time looking at a 2d board.
Then again, if you are a cunning magician, you should be able to easily make it viewed in 3d.

I'm "ambidextrious" when it comes to a 2D or 3D board, I can easily visulize the position and plan moves in either. The problem I have is making the right moves...
Our brains definitely need time and practise to get use to one or the other. They are 'theoretically' the same pieces of information (pun intended), but not in reality. Our brains have to interpret the data received differently.
(See Scott? They're not always old.)
Really My Darling CM ? I play terrible on a 3d board and just kind of poorly on the 2d computer screen. I'm not trolling here, just saying we have opposite colored bishops, so to say....BUT, I am much more cozy with 2d (it's time I read Flatland).
Yeah, I tried the 3d board on chess.com, but the things so blurry and 3d projections onto a 2d screen just doesn't feel the same as a real chess board. On my correspondence games, I usually just cheat and whip out one of my chess sets. Never said I wasn't cunning. Glad to see I'm not the only one having difficulty transitioning from 2d and 3d boards.
When I'm playing on chess.com's 2d boards, I have terrible board vision. However, when I'm playing on a 3d board I can manage to have decent board vision. Is there any reason for this? Could this be reflected in the fact that I have a higher correspondence rating on chess.com? Or maybe that's because I've only played 5 games?
it is all in your mind.
