Oh my!

What could such a tidbit be about?

Back in,, well I should say WaY back in 1975, I had the distinct pleasure of sitting down with Mr Fischer and playing a serious game of chess with him ! 

No sir, he lost that game, and was very bewildered about it, he became agitated, and even more arrogant than he was when we first sat down across from one another, I figured his arrogance in the beginning was to try and shake me up in a strategy attempt, but I wasn't having any of that! I guess you could say I stole the title from him that day, "off the record",,, he got so belligerent, he demanded a second game, but I refused because of his poor attitude, which made him more upset, I walked out on him at that point. I could hear him yelling as I walked down the long hall to exit the building.  I must tell you that I believe he underestimated me because I was just an amateur who walked in off the street, I say this because his moves in the very beginning where a bit abrupt, but it wasn't very long before he realized that I was indeed a formidable adversary, he then dug in and got extremely serious and at that point the battle was on full-fledged!! He was sweating it for sure, and in the end when he seemed to have given it all he had and lost, his whole demeanor changed dramatically, he just had a look of shock and disbelief all about him...

Such a remarkable story! Thank you for sharing. I am quite curious, how did your game go? I assume Mister Fisher took home the trophy?
