Britain declared war on Germany in Sep. 1939 in order to protect Poland"s borders and to maintain Poland's status as a democracy according to the Atlantic treaty.Germany, under Hitler, was an enemy of communism and Russia. After 5 years of WW2....Poland is smaller, having been invaded by Stalin and it was no longer a democracy, but rather a communist puppet state of Stalin. The only thing that prevented communism and Stalin spreading throughout West Berlin,West Germany and ultimately all of Europe in 1945 was a massive airlift of food and provisions into West Berlin by Canada and North America that lasted nearly two years. As it was,the murderous tyrant Stalin was allowed to set up the communist eastern blocks of Hungary,Romania,Bulgaria etc.

The stated aim of communism is to spread and take over the world. The spread of communism from China throughout S.E. Asia in the 60's and 70's was justifiably resisted by the free world.

Dont forget that it was the Red Army in the east that defeated Nazi Germany and the barbarous regime that was the third Reich. The Soviets also lost 27 millon people fighting that war....credit where credit is due.

of course you must cultivate your own opinions, by allmeans, but i prefer the romanticization of a don quijote type, but with genius, that was bobby all the way, he dreamed the impossible dream and made it come true, nobody can take that away from him, ever. got it?

Well, Karpov could.

But besides him, nobody. You're right.

I'll keep it brief and to the point. Bobby Fisher was a good chess player. unfortunately he was an $%ck as well.

Bobby Fischer was not sick, not mentally ill. God these boorish cliches just infest the minds of the proletariat.

You mean he was like that NORMALLY?!?!

Not sure if that vindicates him, or condedmns him worse....

Undecided

Yes, I am anally expulsive.

But, this does change the reality of Fischer.
