Did someone just call me a narcissists ?? The narcisistic club of chess.com has canceled tonight's meeting. Cote's busy burning himself with cigarettes. ouch!, damit, do it again.
Bobby Fischer's psychiatric condition

Because if it's not on Google, it doesn't exist. Right.
Go stuff your robotic hive mind up you know where, you freaking troll.
Your hatred of Google is pretty funny. DId you see the driverless cars that are coming out from Google? I can just see you raging inside one 20 years from now as it takes you to the funny farm without a driver to complain to...
I'm not really sure that my post warrants a "you freaking troll". You seem to be carrying some baggage. <-- now see, that is called understatement; it works better than blowing a gasket.
You're being a little wierd attacking me like that and then accusing me of being a troll. I don't care what you think.
Here is the book I'm thinking of
Bobby Fischer Goes to War: How A Lone American Star Defeated the Soviet Chess Machine
If it isn't in this book then it's in one of the others I've read on Bobby. So stop trolling me and read this book before you say something stupid like "If it's not on google it doesn't exist" again.

Organ trafficking is not the same as stealing someone's organs by knocking them out, removing a kidney, and putting them in a bathtub of ice ;).
"The ring would kidnap children and take them to rented homes with medical equipment where their organs were removed, Castellanos Becerra charged".

That case is pending and the details are sketchy. The others are organ trafficking. But clearly, none of them gives any creedence to the Las Vegas rumor I was joking about.

Ummm...you do realize I never said that, right? Nor did I accuse you of being a troll. You mis-read a quoted post.

>His chess games will be studied for thousands of years.<
THOUSANDS. Thats for HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS of years.
Just like we study the master games of those mighty players from thousands of years ago...ok, maybe hundreds of years ago...oh, all right, maybe thirty years ago....

@maskedbishop: There are Grandmasters upto 300 years ago with recorded games. Since 1880, chess is as we play today(en passant rule). So about 130 years max., I'd say. Alekhine played about 100 years ago but his games are still studied.

>Was it Bobby who used to bite off bats heads or is that someone else ?<
I heard that was Kramnik. Or was it Timman? I always get those two confused...

>Alekhine played about 100 years ago but his games are still studied.<
Kind of. Most of the study of the Golden Moldies is done by amateurs, and more for fun then chess improvement. No class player is going to get singificantly better pouring through Alekhine's games. They are generally demonstrations of skill and imagination that can't be learned, only admired.
The GMs themselves...I doubt they spend much time at all on any games other than those of their competition, unless their database pulls up an opening variation they want to look at. And it's unlikely those examples will be much older than a decade.

Spassky was very sane, very normal throughout his life, right? Fischer was insane from 1972 - 1992? You may say yes. But, still Fischer beat Spasky in 1992. Fischer will remain one of the greatest players chess has seen.
Respect Fischer for his game, forget the rest.

"He searched for money and fame and power not in some ultimate quest to achieve these material things such as status and acceptance but to fill the gaping void in his life of nothingness. He wanted desperately to be world champion to give his life some meaning and purpose, but after winning the world title that desire went away and with the crown came the financial stability and recognition that he was not comfortable with."
So, now we are attributing Bobby Fischer's winning abilities to his mental imbalances and mental disturbances? And not his ability in chess? How (not so much) funny some of you are. We should not be thinking about Bobby Fischer's mental condition, but some of you should go and see a pyschiatrist right away.
Could he compete with johnyoudell though ? Hardly.
