I think all other things about the bomb chess are good. Just the pieces are all "stuffed" and you can only start with the upside down pawn(I don't think anyone want to start with blowing up a dragon). I suggest with the pawns on the middle and the reversed on the sides, not "layered".

Your free to believe what you want. I can't say your right or wrong, without statistics it is pure speculation. It's good if people disagree about the value of the pieces though. It is a sign that it has an interesting ruleset.
