Hey guys, I'm here on chess.com since 4 months now, and i think im doing a good progress, but my problem is, that I'm not familiar with many main and sidelines in the opening. So, do you know if there is any major collection of  (almost) every book move?

I really want to learn the most important ones, but i just find pdfs and books about specific openings. I mean, how do  masters learn those lines? There must be a database. Help me please Tongue Out

You're already paying for it:

You could google Free Chess Database and come up with some more.  And if you prefer a book then van der Sterren's Fundamental Chess Openings (FCO) is great for explaining the ideas behind all those lines.  Hope that helps, good luck!

If you google "chess opening database" you'll find a few solid options right away.

For someone seeking help with choosing openings, I usually bring up Openings for Amateurs by Pete Tamburro (2014).

I believe that it is possible to see a fair portion of the beginning of Tamburro's book by going to the Mongoose Press site. Perhaps you would also want to look at Discovering Chess Openings by GM Johm Emms (2006).

I believe he gives you a new one, not heals it.

True or not, not sure how that is connected to this.

In my old age, I have given up on trying to learn the latest openings.  Instead, I review some old openings.  Sure, they'll not stand up to a Grand Master, but I am not a Grand Master, nor do I ever play against one.

If you have an Android phone or tablet, there are two excellent opening move databases available. They cost just a few dollars each and are very comprehensive. 1). Chessbase for Android. This requires you to be online for access, but is very fast and operates like it was downloaded to your device. Also includes 7 million game database and Stockfish analysis engine. Let's you search the entire database from any board position. Fantastic. 2). Chess PGN Master Pro. Includes huge opening data base with ECO codes and traditional names of all openings and variations. Very useful! Also includes Stockfish analysis engine. Plus, let's you play against the engine from any position! For a few dollars more, it offers an add on huge data base of top level historical and current master games.
