He is king. Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden.
Really, though, Anand's reign is over. Good run, but he's past his prime.

"Carlsen probably has a good lead"
Not that big, since Anand had 6-1 the first years they played each other, but the last four years Carlsen has 9-1 so 10-7 to Carlsen in all.
I'll call it good because Anand wins when Carlsen was a young teen don't really matter.
This title is funny: "BREAKING NEWS: ANAND DEFEATED CARLSNE".
What's funny about it is that I would personally consider that the most significant breaking news I've heard today (actually, yesterday, because I'm already posting after 00:00 GMT) were the capture of the perpetrator of Saturday's Copenhagen attacks and ISIL's killing of 21 Christians in Libya.
That's the sort of "breaking news" I'm used to hear on BBC World News and on Euronews. Now, "BREAKING NEWS: ANAND DEFEATED CARLSNE": that just sounds like something doesn't add up; it's like mixing up two unrelated things.
Maybe that's just because I simply like to play chess, and I'm not very interested in how other people play it (i.e., if I come to Chess.com, it is definitely not to know news about chess games, but to play for myself).
But oh well! If you guys like it, who am I to criticise it?
Anand is 45 and still going strong. One of the greats of all time. I admire him very much. Just look at what he has done in candidates in 2014. I wish him well and hope to see him again at the world championship match.
Carlsen arguably is the greatest chess player ever.
I prefer the Mexican pronunciation beeeeech.
