Brilliancy is very unfair

so if you get a really good sacrifice, and you don’t get a brilliancy that is a huge morale decrease because it is good but no, you dont get it. It doesnt have to be best, because there are aesthetic sacs that are good. You can’t count on a computer to know what is good for a human. Sign the petition if you want this brilliancy system to be changed.

No, the brilliancy definition should stay the same, just because you make a sacrifice doesn’t mean it’s a good one………

Every brilliant move is a sacrifice but not every sacrifice is a brilliant move (illuminating wisdom in all directions)

yes but sacrifices that aren’t brilliants can also be good for example phsycology

I mean, I got a brilliant like 2 seconds ago...

is this not already the system? i remember having a position with 3 possible brilliant moves awarded by chess.com, the “worst” dropping from +7 to around +3 (still completely winning, which i suppose is the difference)

Sometimes a Brilliant move isn't even the best move. I have had several times where I press review, "Ooo a Brilliant!" Then I see it says "Show best move"...ON A BRILLIANT.
