Broken connection gave me a lost game!

Hi all!

I´m just now very frustrated!! Played a game for more than 1,5 h, had an advantage of one main peace (a bishop) and my counterpart was running out of time. And then, all of a sudden, the system says, my line is broken! I´ve a very good lan here. It was not my fault, that something happend. Hey, that is really not fair. The system said, to much trials to connect.

Such a game is no fun at all!

But you know you were winning. A few points in an online game doesn't really matter, does it?

yeah, that´s right. But from now on, my heart will stop, when the connection fails. That is no fun. And fun it shoud be, isn´t it?

Yes, but we still have limitations in connections from time to time. currentlydown.com list chess.com's 2018 outages as below, so there are likely to have been very short cufoffs due to chess.com from time to time.  Hopefully, the Internet's stability will continue to improve.

ok, it happens. but what is the deeper meaning of punishing one of the players? or get both punished? and why not giving a draw at least? I feel myself a bit betrayed!

archaja

so, you dont think its unfair?

To me, the worst feeling is when your connection breaks when you're losing a game. Then your opponent thinks you're a bad sport who quit without resigning, when that's not the case.
