Bullet 300, Rapid 1400, Puzzles 2400. Why?

I'll admit, I don't try that hard to increase my rating. I just play games and my rating goes up and down with natural flows.

But why the heck do I end up with a bullet rating in the 300s and a rapid rating over 1300? That difference seems kinda extreme.

Perhaps I'm doing something wrong to cause my terrible bullet rating? Or maybe I'm doing something right to cause the rapid rating?

This doesn't make a lick of different to anything really, but it's something I'm somewhat confused by, as I don't feel like I'm bad at bullet, even though my rating says otherwise.

Note: I have had higher bullet ratings before, but they were still always quite low in comparison to my rapid rating. By just concentrating on never running out of time I'd get out of the 300s quite easily, but it would still never get anywhere near my rapid rating.

Bullet is hard, but you’ll improve slowly, try not to play too much. Hikaru even said “bullet are for high IQ” (that does not mean that you have low IQ). But keep going :) I believe you

I seem to have gotten worse at it, not better lol.

Bullet is primarily about speed. In bullet, intuition is most important. You play slowly and when you have winning chances you don’t take them.
You have only played 59 rapid games. That is not enough to determine your real strength.
At my best I was just about 1850-1900 bullet. This was not because I was a good player. I simply discovered the trick to improve: play fast, attacking moves that cause your opponent to slow down and think. Complicate the game by creating tactical opportunities (open spaces), and do not calculate. Simply do what seems right. Daniel Naroditsky (one of the strongest bullet players) has over 140000 games. I also learnt how to flag and pre move effectively. Bullet is not necessarily a measure of how good you are at chess.

Because I can fit it in between other activities.
