I personally find her very annoying not because of here voice (although it is sometimes hard to understand.)

but she has that really annoying high school vibe and say Oh My God every 2minutes at a play. She is the only one that does that too and has no real respect for people who actually believe in god I know that might something so weird to say in todays world but yet all other commentators say oh my gosh or something in that vicinity.

But it's the little things that kinda shows off her god complex

I'm sorry to disagree but saying, "oh my god" has nothing to do with whether you respect people who believe in god or not. As you well know, it is a ubiquitous phrase in today's world, and to invest more meaning in it than that is futile.

And while we are on the subject, why is it important or necessary to respect people who believe in God? Everyone is entitled to their beliefs but those beliefs shouldn't deserve any particular respect, should they? I don't get it.

sorry to burst your bubble, but saying oh my G*d

is literally blasphemy and is highly inappropriate hence why religious people replace it with goodness or gosh

Religious people can do whatever they like - and good luck to them. The rest of us can also do what we like, including saying, "Oh My God" or absolutely anything else that we feel like saying. That's called freedom of speech. Would you have our society run any other way?

I never claimed what people can and can't do I was arguing that the saying is blasphemous or not has nothing to do with what you can and can't say

It's blasphemous only if you believe what YOU believe. As it turns out, not everyone believes in God. I would urge a little more compassion and understanding on your part.

over 95% of people believe in God so whats ur point

Oh, so it's about majorities, is it? Hitler was a popular leader among Germans at the time. Does that mean that he was ok? Grow up.

Another typical pseudo-genius lecturing. Hitler brute forced his way into power, despite popular belief of being voted into power. Of course this clown is a typical edgy anti-religion too. Shows how chess players really aren't that smart after all.

Lecturing? Did you read the thread? All I'm saying is that people should be able to say what they like. He was telling me off for writing "Oh my God", which is plainly ridiculous.

If you want to have a discussion about how ridiculous religion is as an explanation for origins of the universe and life on Earth, we can do that somewhere else.

I have nothing against Tanja. However, it was, at least for me, real pleasure the mix of Leko with Naroditsky. Also, Seirawan with his american team are simply awesome. For people who can understand Russian, Shipov is great.

Too bad you don't take your advice toward religious people.

No idea sometimes they show up and sometimes they don't.

I would agree that her voice is really such a factor that i dont even watch the events she moderates or mute the event when she starts talking. Would really enjoy Judith Polgar or other females with a more enjoyeable voice.

I like her personally - she adds a fun energy that a lot of dry chess commentary doesn't have. And she is literally an IM, so there aren't many people more qualified to commentate on chess.

If she's going to speak English as a professional commentator in front of millions of listeners, she should work on her pronunciation, vocabulary, tone and rhythm.

So far she is one of the worst commentators I've ever heard in any sport/event broadcast.

Because there is this thing called "male", and this other thing called "beautiful female". According to history, the thing called "male", will always be attracted towards the thing called "beautiful female". Hope is explains.

Yeah, she is awful. Seems like all male sports have females now. Look at the NBA or NFL. The dumbest females they could find that dress like $hores.

I think Tania is nice and all but maybe slightly too talkative

You're way off topic here - and you're sounding very 19th century. Female sports commentators are much needed....but Tania, while a very good chess player, should be disqualified by virtue of her awful tone. It's just painful to listen to.
