Bullet Chess Tips

Please note: I am not the best bullet player! These are tips for beginners, not people who are strong at bullet (like people near my rating or more).

Alright, first things first, I  see this way to often within beginners in bullet. STOP MAKING RANDOM MOVES WITHOUT ANY THOUGHT! if you are just starting bullet,  focus on accuracy, not speed. Play rapid and blitz to improve accuracy. Then work on speed.

If you do play accurately and need to focus on speed, here are some tips:

If you play against someone who plays an opening that you don't know, play a good move.

Bit of a weird tip but yeah, don't spend all your time on the opening, just play the best moves that come with minimal analysis. If you lose, analyze and try your best the next game.

Do not spend more than 7 seconds a move.

Simple, do not waste too  much time on one move, and if you do, play faster the next moves to regain time.

Really the main  thing in bullet is playing accurately, and quickly. If you master both those factors, your going to be better than me soon!

I am going to soon make a forum about flagging, because it is almost 1:30 AM and I want some sleep.

I might edit this in  the morning so yeah...

Anyways stay safe,

Larry.

My first thought was beginners and bullet was an oxymoron.

Just saying.

Is this for bullet? That sounds like advice for blitz.

Well, bullet it's more important, but for all time controls under 5 minutes it applies.

When I play 1min 1increment I would say play fast reasonable moves because if your opponent doesn't have time to find out if it is a inaccuracy or something like that but don't Botez gambit or any bong cloud things.

Playing fast and well is the name of the game, but it's easier said than done. I can often do one of the two, but not both at the same time.
