Bullet isn't chess
That being said, I play bullet at work when I go to the bathroom.
Bulletplayers will keep playing bullet because as soon as you start playing standards or long blitzes 10/0 you suddenly run into a whole population of engine using cheating scum-bags. Using an engine is not chess.
That's why I don't play more than 3 minutes blitz online.
So you CAN'T play bullet without premoves? You can play giant bullet without premoves:

Bullet is too fast for me.I will stick to blitz.I see these masters play bullet and i think wow.
Both is still chess imo.
Bullet's a great variant of fast chess. 1|0 is absolutely enough for a really nice game. The huge problem are pre-moves; that's the biggest bullshit ever created I think. It spoils the chess a lot, besides it makes bad habits. The game turns into a mess in which you're not sure who plays better. After a few weeks of playing pre-moves your chess skills get worse. It's because you focus on how to make pre-moves, not how to play smart. In Bullet where pre-moves are off such things don't happen; you get better at tactics and speed. Most good players don't like pre-moving but they're forced to use it in order to stay rival. So am I. I've suggested to the staff to create a separate section of Bullet with NO PRE-MOVES allowed for both opponents as a rule. So that everyone will be able to choose the way they want to play Bullet. The system will match players accordingly. The answer I get every time is "We'll discuss it, it makes some sense". I really love 1 min Bullet and I hope one day we'll have such option. Greetings to all!
To have the idea that people have somewhat recognition that there are 64 squares and 32 pieces and play makes it chess, a variant yes. None the less a style of sort. For a lot of people to find someone that can play on a board with someone can be nearly impossible. Just regular chess at that. Everyone I know plays video games and have no interest in learning this wonderful game. If it wasn't for chess online I would have no one to play chess with. No matter what variant. If I could have the skills to be on top and make money playing bullet chess I wouldn't care what's its called, I wouldn't be using cornhole skills on the chess board.
There's a rating system nonetheless. There are still brilliant players who will absolutely crush you if you have no clue what you're doing. Of course there's luck involved at the lower ratings but that goes for all forms of chess because get this: People who are bad will make more mistakes.
I play bullet, but don't use premoves. I'd add my vote to having an option or category of games that don't permit either player to utilise premoves.
As an observation I'd say that bullet has let me play significantly more games than I otherwise might have. And slowly my understanding of positions, themes and tactic has improved because of that high level of repetition. Maybe my time might have been better spent studying various treatise on good play, but with bullet I had fun whilst learning.
just think fast is what i do-
but maybe to some people it isnt chess because it requires less skill?? or thats what someone told me

its due to the concept that cause its fast and mostly based around superior intuition/speed that it essentially becomes a clicking game between a mouse and a cat, not a thinking game where moves and strategy are logical but rather a different world. this is usually why some people are good at bullet as while they may be bad at the game in terms of endurance, thinking, strategy, tactics etc they can compensate due to being a quick "mouse player" than a normal player
