Yeah, its like the people who never resign even when they are sure to lose. They do it solely because they can. Even if it does look like a kind of loophole or cheap way of playing, it is still out there. I hate it as much as you do though.

It seems clear that some people are barely good enough in defense to hold off being checkmated. So, their strategy is to make stupid moves repeatedly in the opening, so in a few moves, the opponent has a solid open, but has 50 seconds at best. Meanwhile, the other player does nf3, ng1 over and over..til that's boring, then they start on the other side with nc3, nb1.
I just saw two takes initially. It's extremely patronizing for a 'good' player to do this attempt against another's skill. Or there's the other option. Some half-wit is hoping to slow the other's thinking long enough to pull out a win in the end. Either way, I'll avoid such stupidity. I used to think there was honor in games, in that 'I beat you...you beat me - the notion that one was overpowered...' Not some crap that toyed with the other's mind. Anyway...
