Definitely Classical In my opinion, gives you time to think your moves to maximum!
Back then, chess was classic and in a tournament, people in a tournament could save their game and continue the next day (thats called adjournments). But then, a time limit was added, which i think make chess more fun. So i think i will go with rapid. And also i define “pure chess” as games that you could think for a comfortable amount of time.

classical is pure, but not the best time control
