I watched you go 40 moves in a game without hanging anything by accident.
Here you did it in 3?!
Lol that okay though. chess makes everybody feel like a beginner somedays. Even old farts like me.

glad you enjoyed it. i still haven't made it to my local chess club. the lowest player listed on their website is 146 ecf, which is about 1800 fide i think, but i will end up going along soon as i like playing face to face more than over the computer.
and yes, people definitely do not play like computers. when you set the difficulty level of a chess engine to play at a low strength it just changes the amount of times they throw in blunders. you would be much better off practicing by playing live chess on here than playing against a computer.

I was so nervous. Let me tell you something else, when you stare at a computer board all the time, then look at a real one (because you are on an angle), it makes you (me at least) as a beginner mess up. I didn't pull no epic losing moves in the second game though even though he still won.
The computers on chess.com are incredibly unrealistic.
A game I played against the medium computer:

14...Qxd3 - would any human play that?
Bazinga!!
Ill challenge you to Sheldon's three person chess anyday. After all how can you pass up a version of chess that has two new pieces called "the serpent" and "the old woman" lol
Rock paper scissors lizard spock! lol
Did you see the out-takes for that! It took him 40 minutes to get it right! lol!
After MUCH help from my friends here on Chess.com, I was able to track down a coach and a chess club near my area. I went to go check it out last night. There was a nice mix of about 5-6 guys (no ladies
I learned some VERY important lessons:
1. People DO NOT PLAY LIKE COMPUTERS!
2. You can make a mistake or two or three with a computer, but these guys will gobble you up with one blunder/serious error.
3. Chess is awesome.
After I practice enough I plan on getting rated. Thanks for everyone on this site. I owe it to you guys for helping me learn this awesome game.
