Hello,
I own Chessbase 12 along with the "Big Database." However I don't have a large "Opening Tree" and I am wondering if I need to buy something like the "Opening Encyclopedia" or can I simply use Chessbase to build an opening tree based on the Big Database? I am not sure if there would be a difference between the two.
Thanks for your suggestions!
At your leve, the opening is the last phase of the game you want to be working on. Tactics, and end games are much more important.
All you need to know about openings are the opening principles:
Control the center
Develop your minor piece toward the center
Castle
Connect your Rooks
If you want to learn anything about openings, fiind a couple you like to play, and learn the ideas behind those openings.
