If you want to play chess without calculation, so be it. But there aren't many ways to do so. Either read known patterns (which contains studying), or simply play random moves.
Calculation and memorization is boring.

People of high ratings are very commited, and usually very smart people. If you are not a big fan of memorization and calculation, then maybe you should play chess more causaly and not worry about about reaching high ratings, because unless you're a super genius, you have to put a decent amount of effort to get to even the lowest level of master.
