i think its not possible to defeat a king with one roook but possible with two rooks

Aishik_dasgupta learn some basic chess principles. Stalemate is when the other king can’t move. Also it is possible to beat a king with 1 rook, a google search can prove that

One rook alone is not sufficient to checkmate the opponent's king.

 

You need the assistance of a friendly piece like the king.
