Yes u can be a NM but probably it's not a good idea. You have to fly to America, get a Uscf membership and play in the events and then beat real NMs and then get your title. You could probably try getting to CM by playing in India

So you Can get life time Diamond membership once you reach NM (National master) or higher, but this title is given by the chess federation of the country and each federation has its own requirements. I want to become a NM but I do not see any Indian federation can Indians be NM?
