One way I increased my elo in bullet is by just getting experience. I kept on playing in Hyperbullet to first exercise my speed, then 1 Min bullet to practice my tactics in bullet. One thing which works for me is playing these openings: For black, play kings fiancheto and for white play kings indian defense. Hope it helped!
