I don't want obvious answers like do tactics bro or analize your games, I feel like at 1400 blitzs nearly everyone does that, they play tactics analize the games, maybe even watching gm naroditsky. is here non obvious way to get advantage against stronger players?

Well, what you do you do when you analyze your games? It doesn't appear to you use the Game Review very often. Only one of your last 20 games has Game Review scores posted.

Well, what do you do when you analyze your games on lichess? How much time do you spend?

In this Kings Indian Defense position, which probably comes up for you pretty often (or something pretty similar), black has just taken away his knight attacking your e4 pawn.

What did you do? Nb5? What was the point of that?

Isn't the a4 pawn hanging now?

Then comes f5. You played Ng5 hoping for a fork on e6. Didn't you see that knight on c5?

After f4, you were in trouble. You finally went after the a4 pawn but that left your e4 pawn undefended. And then your queen was overworked, defending both the bishops on a4 and d2.

How many times has that happened to you?

The point is that in these Kings Indian Defense positions, you probably get to this point all the time and don't know what to do.

BLitz is harder to improve in. A lot of 2000 and 2100 rapid people have sub 1500 blitz

By playing many games and playing consistently. You also have to improve overall. So to put it short: Improve every aspect of your game and play blitz consistently

To grow out of the 1400s, you need to look for sharper moves. Different kind of moves. Such as compound moves that both keep your pieces defended and set up an attack and improve your position at the same time. These moves are there, you are just not seeing them because you have to look with a deeper mind's eye.

Also, pawn play gets increasingly sophisticated, with sacrifices to open up certain lines, immobilize the opponent's activity, or improve the position in other ways. You have to start seeing the position on the board as a whole, and learn how to improve its quality by setting up the right pressure points against the enemy king.

Is it worth considering how you can learn to play without tilting?
