Can we consult Ouija Boards during online chess games?

I know it is illegal to consult computers during online chess games; but i was wondering if it's okey to use one's ouija board.  Of course one has to assume the risks associated with opening a portal to the spirit world.  I was just thinking outloud about this.  What do you think???

You're not supposed to get assistance on your position from other people.  Since I don't think the chess.com staff has explicitly said "living" people, I would say this is considered cheating..... assuming you actually did contact anyone.

I submitted your question to my "Magic 8-Ball," and it told me to "Ask again later."

Assuming that once one passes over, they cease to be people, I disagree. I say it is well within the limits. I am sure that rule changes are likely, depending on whose spirit you are able to consult.

Bobby Fischer? You'd win.

Well, it would technically be against the rules, it would be difficult the staff to give any proof that the spirit of (removed for epic brain failure), Fischer, or any other communicated winning moves to you through an Ouija board.

Personally, though, I wouldn't recommend consulting chess positions through an Ouija board in the first place.

I wouldn't have thought that Kasparov is presently able to communicate via Ouija Boards. But, then again, who knows?

It is clearly against the rules to consult a Ouija board, although I rather suspect that some players rated below 700 must be doing exactly that, judging from the seemingly random way their pieces move.

Why not ask the Ouija board for the answer to that question?

This is the funniest thing I've read all day.

Is the Oija board wood or a roll-up vinyl one?

My board always tells me to do foolish things, like play the queen's gambit
