You seem to be under funny impression that other people only start the game to make you rejoice from destroying them :)

when I'm in a bad jam, i think and try to get out of it. people don't like it. i seldom ever play people, as a consequence. i play bots. bots don't mind if i'm trying not to lose.

If you're playing a 10min rapid, that means the game can last up to 20min, so you should have made sure you have that much time available. Don't play a chess game if you can't or won't afford the time it takes for both players to exhaust their clock.

The question is not about time. Of course if I play a 10 min game I should be prepared to play for 20 minutes. Except here, you're not "playing" during 20 minutes, you're just staring at a position you know you've already won or doing something else altouhgh you came for playing chess. Your post would be relevant if you were playing when your opponent's stalling but it is simply not the case.

Sorry if it's already been said I only read the first page ngl

They are basically hoping that you will disconnect or resign. It’s sad and hurts the experience here. I wish they would bring back the clock that runs after a certain amount of time to force them to move or automatically resign. When I first signed up it was available and did help discourage stalling.

I think chess.com should have a button that if you press it, your opponent has to move in 3 minutes or timeout.

Cool, I can live with that, sometimes though my opponent thinks for 6 min after I begun a trade, i mean seriously JUST TAKE BACK, it’s not that hard, he did move eventually and timed out, I should never have to deal with time outs in rapid

Some positions take more than 3 minutes to analyse though, I just wish cc staff can actually tell who is thinking and who is stalling, then BAN them.
