Can we STOP people from STALLING?
I always report stallers. I used to get messages from chess.com saying they had taken action on my report, but this stopped a few months ago. It seems like they are no longer punishing people for stalling. Or at least they aren't punishing as many of them. Every day I run into stallers and report them, but it seems pointless.
Same
If they're flying, they have to keep their airspeed above stalling speed. Simple as that.
that actually applies lol
I usually play 30 minutes chess in chess.com. Sometimes my opponent starts stalling when they cannot win. Then I just have to wait. Sometimes I don't have time to wait, so I must accept draw. Sometimes I even have to resign even I am winning.
I wonder why chess.com doesn't take action against stallers, I just had a 2300 today blundering a piece, and when I captured that, they stalled all the way from 20 sec to 0 sec. But then, thankfully, Chess.com prevented me from being frustrated too much by making the stalling player go offline and giving me a win when their clock touched 9.5 sec. This is good, but it kinda annoyed me. So I reported him and blocked, but I doubt whether they would even take action or not. Nor does going to Lichess solve the problem, because inspite of their ban warnings, they actually do nothing, since the advanced player isn't going to lose all games, but stall the ones intermittently where they're losing. Shameless.

Ah, but thats how stallers win! Don't let them win, physically as well as psychologically. Don't click resign until u lose. If u play 30 min and ur opp starts stalling, get up and have some water and calm down. Wait the time without being angry. Make them lose, by holding out and refusing to give up, as well as staying peacefully all the while. I have had enough of these harrowing experiences in 10 min rapid games, where opponent stalled 5 (!) min before losing due to timeout.

yo Optimissed?
If you're playing a 10min rapid, that means the game can last up to 20min, so you should have made sure you have that much time available. Don't play a chess game if you can't or won't afford the time it takes for both players to exhaust their clock.
Yeah, stalling is annoying, but it's less annoying it you don't obsess over time. Keep an eye on the stalled board just in case the opponent tries to pull a sneaky on you, while you do some analysis or such. It's not like someone's holding a gun to your head and telling you to gormlessly stare at the stalled game until the clock ticks out.
Stalling is annoying and against TOS. If someone's stalling, it's not just "that's life", report them. It's not about not having set aside 20 minutes, it's about having set aside 20 minutes to PLAY CHESS.
