Can we STOP people from STALLING?

I stall in winning positions to take a break and calculate my future moves. 60% resign with this strategy when they are losing badly. ;-)

Beat to report if people are abusing this function

Just Report them

I never understood why this is against the rules. Yes it is annoying, but if you play an X min game, then it means you agree that you will spend your next 2X minutes on that game

Stalling is pretty annoying, but if they are stalling I am winning so I don't care.

I always report stallers. I used to get messages from chess.com saying they had taken action on my report, but this stopped a few months ago. It seems like they are no longer punishing people for stalling. Or at least they aren't punishing as many of them. Every day I run into stallers and report them, but it seems pointless.

Teach them to use their accelerator pedals a bit better.

If they're flying, they have to keep their airspeed above stalling speed. Simple as that.

I usually play 30 minutes chess in chess.com. Sometimes my opponent starts stalling when they cannot win. Then I just have to wait. Sometimes I don't have time to wait, so I must accept draw. Sometimes I even have to resign even I am winning.

I wonder why chess.com doesn't take action against stallers, I just had a 2300 today blundering a piece, and when I captured that, they stalled all the way from 20 sec to 0 sec. But then, thankfully, Chess.com prevented me from being frustrated too much by making the stalling player go offline and giving me a win when their clock touched 9.5 sec. This is good, but it kinda annoyed me. So I reported him and blocked, but I doubt whether they would even take action or not. Nor does going to Lichess solve the problem, because inspite of their ban warnings, they actually do nothing, since the advanced player isn't going to lose all games, but stall the ones intermittently where they're losing. Shameless.
