Can we tell anything about a person's chess game, just by their personality?

This might not have much to do with gameplay, but I've noticed some people lightly place their pieces on the board while others move their pieces aggressively. Nevertheless, I haven't noticed any distinct pattern concerning their personality. Maybe the people that move their pieces lightly are full of themselves and those who movie their pieces aggressively are hard headed, and usually people are a blend or both styles.
Do you think the way a person acts affects their gameplay? Please specify! :)
