Can you get a chess clock passed airport security?

I'm in the USA and am flying to a tournament. I don't intend to have checked luggage, just a bag or two for carry-on. Will TSA let me bring my digital clock onto the plane without a whole lot of hassle? In other words, can I convince them it's not a bomb? What do other players do? Thanks

Do you have an email address or paperwork you can show them to explain your attendance at the tournament? Perhaps you should contact your airline for verification on this matter. At the very worst you could buy one when you get off the plane?
