Can you help me analyse this position?

Hello everyone! I am quite new to chess and i am finding it fascinating and playing a couple of postal matches every day over the internet. I am also reading a lot and studying some GMs games. I have got to this position here, and I am not sure what is a good way to proceed. I have excanged my bad bishop for his good one, and also have the living darksquared bishop giving a good cover on the center. I am ready to castle, but maybe it would be better to castle to the queenside where it is more defended? My oponents last move was g5.

Can you discuss with me some ideas and/or analysis of this position? Any new knowledge is apreciated!

Thanks, Fred!

In games like this I can only offer Idears??, h3? gives the N a hole on h2 if he should like to go  g5.also lets your othe N develope on d2 , I don`t know what happens if he responds h5?  game on??, lol

you would love to see a N on f5 some how

d5 at some point? whatch those pawns though?

Sorry, we're not supposed to help with ongoing games.

Even though this doesn't appear to be a chess.com game, it is a breach of ethics to ask for help on a game that is in progress, even if the time control may be a move every new moon :)

Would it make sense to discuss this "after" your game is over?

Sunshiny and Shivsky nailed it.

The best thing you can do is to keep a little notebook with your ideas and variations for each move while the game is under way. Then come back and revisit the "help" idea once the game has been completed. I'm sure someone would be happy to help you analyze both the moves you played and the reasoning behind them. Might be instructive for all involved.

Good luck in your game!

Is this an on going game? I though it was a game you have played and your going through it, , why I thought that is anyones gues? lol

Oh my! I am so focused on learning and developing skills that I did not even considered the ethical implications of my question. I am not playing these games to win or to lose (for now, at least). I am playing to learn. But of course, this may not be so to my opponent, so i take back my question. After the game is done I will analyse it! I am sorry guys!

No worries! I look forward to seeing the analysis of your game.
