Cancelling a Game

I’m in a 14 day game that my opponent hasn’t moved in for several days, may even a week. What happens after 14 days if he hasn’t moved? Or, how can I cancel/end this game? Tnx Ken

1) if it’s a 14 day/move game, your opponent has 14 days to make his move. I guess that would have been a good thing to understand when you began the game.
2) in 14 days his clock will run out and you will win unless he uses vacation to pause his clock
3) you can end this game by resigning

Sounds fine, just wanted to know how things work. So the 14 day limit is a limit on when one needs to move again, not on the total length of the game, correct? Tnx Again, Ken

Yes.  If it's a rated game, after a certain number of moves a resignation or clock running out will affect both players ratings.

So if I just started a game by mistake, actually had two games started at the same time with one user, can I abort it after his first move or before any move played without being penalized?
