Can't Access Fritz 12 Chess Database!?

Hi all,

I have been using Fritz 12 for quite some time and originally when I bought it, I was able to access the database that came with it which has a ton of games. However, after sometime, it no longer appears after I click the place I use to, and now I cannot access the database, or find it for that matter. Does anyone know how to get it back?

Thanks

If it no longer appears it is because you're moved or erased it. Other think would be if you cannot access it because the files are corrupted. But if they're not there it's because someone's moved/deleted it. It doesn't dissapear like that.

If that's the case, then what would these files be called? And also, where would they be located?

Do you know the extension of the database file (e.g .pgn)? If so, you can just search your C:\ drive (or wherever Fritz is installed) for *.pgn

ChessBase files are called whatever.cbx where x is a letter. For example the main file has the extension .cbh but there are many more .cbj .cbg .cba etc.

You need all of them.

Thanks...Does anyone know how you would open these .cb_ files? I mean, how could this be done through Fritz 12?

Just locate the .cbh file and double click on it. Fritz will normally open it.
