Can't read chess.com games emailed to me

I get my chess.com games emailed to me.i use chessbase 7 .Previously the emails opened and the games could be studied together with evaluations by fritz8 on a ready chess board.Nowadays the email and the attachment don't bring up the board or the fritz evaluations.I recently used word pad so as to print the emailed games received from chess.com that I had played but now I have to input the games manually into Rybka/fritz on infinite analysis to check my mistakes.This is too time consuming.Wonder what when wrong.Downloaded latest version of Mozilla Firefox in case the system on my computer was out of date but this made no difference. I am an amateur with little understanding of computers

Are the files being opened in WordPad?

Yes.THe problem is this.If Idownloaded a file from chess.com it comes up as an icon on the desktop.Previously say I downloaded Tatasteele 2013 games,if I clicked on the icon on the desktop it brought up the database of games and I could go through it with computer evaluations ,fritz 8 quickly with few mouse clicks .Now if I click on the icon it doesn't open any of the games .Similarly I could have chess.com email me my games played,receive it in my inbox and navigate through the games with automatic game evaluations.now the emails don't open when I try to open it with chessbase.but it does open with wordpadbut no facility for evaluations by computer.so I print the games and have to manually insert using RYbka on nfinite analysis but this is time consuming

Thanks for the info :) Please try right clicking on the .pgn file icon thats on your desktop.  You should see an option that says "open with".  From there you should be able to choose Chessbase. Please let me know how it works out!

I would like to open downloaded chess.com .pgn games on my iMac desktop computer running OS X 10.8.5 for review and study. Will my default chess program open the downloaded games? Thank you.

Lisztener- It depends on what you have set for your default program to open a PGN file :) If you right click on the PGN file, you'll see an option that says open with and you should find your default Chess progam on that list.

Jac-fyn: I have no default program (or any installed program)  on my mac computer running OS X 10.8.5 that will open pgn files. What do I need to be able to replay chess.com games I've downloaded to my computer? I'd appreciate any recommendation. Thank you.

You can open the pgn with TextEdit but it will only show the actual PGN files. For suggestions on a program for mac you might try checking out our Equipment forum section :)
