Can’t understand

Hi there all. First post here, so here’s what I don’t get atm. I usually play without being logged in, so anonymous and without any points. And what I encounter quite often is, in case the other player starts losing the game, is just abandon the game without resigning. So, there are no points at play and no one knows the name, so why on earth players just abandon the game, does it really hurts so much to admit defeat from time to time? What’s wrong with the people lately? Really sorry if my question is trivial but I would honestly like to know, many thanks in advance!

Some people don't like to play losing positions. Being 100% anonymous and with zero consequences, they may just leave. Happens in logged in games too, buy with the poor sportsmanship pool therevare at least some consequences.
