the fact is i guess most people r banned by this site even before they complete 48 hours in this site......the rules to prevent abuse are far too strict and yes they never ban their premium members.....but if a premium member loses to a low rated one and then he abuses him to which the low rated one reply in a abusive manner then the non-premium(lower rated) member will be banned from this site easily ...... This site should be made 18+ becoz they can prevent abuse in English but not in any other language.....

For many players, chess is interesting enough in itself and they do not even need the chat option.
Think of an OTB tournament game: you shake hands with your opponent, wish good luck and then you are not allowed to talk during the whole game (despite offering a draw or adjusting pieces).
Maybe you started playing chess online but for those who came here from tournament play "no chatting during the game" is the most natural rule. I have my chat window closed by default so my opponents do not disturb me during the games

This chat restriction will subside for you soon, it's just for recently created accounts because people have been abusing game chats with massive spam attacks.

this isn't about abuse or something...it's pure souless marketing stratergy...they probably analysed that the most likelyhood of a new member converting into premium member occurs within first 48 hours of joining...so to promote this cut on their previleges and thrust their objective "convert to premium-member" upon them...CAPITALISM!!
