It was renamed accuracy.

I get it was renamed accuracy.  But while it was called CAPS, there was a way to estimate the rating of players who received any particular CAPS score.  For instance, players with ratings of 1600-1800 could be expected to score 60 to 70, or something like that.  Is there some similar chart for this thing called "accuracy"?

You mainly play daily chess. Since players can use databases and books, and can play the first 15-25 moves like a Grandmaster, CAPS/accuracy would be especially inaccurate in predicting rating.

However, that noted, the chart put out when CAPS was rolled out would still be the only thing I have ever seen suggesting a link between CAPS and over the board rating.

I believe it was clearly stated that one should not use the chart to validate any individual game but only to look at an average of performance over some extended period.

The ability of a CAPs score to estimate someones playing ability ranks right up there with taking that online personality test that tell you you play like...

You can use opening databases, books, etc.  So that will falsely inflate your CAPs score.  If you want to know how well you play?  Play in OTB tournaments, and get a real rating.  Then you will know if you're a GM...IM...Expert...A...B...C...D...etc. player.

I know this will come as a shock to some, but taking an online quiz, and or a CAPs score doesnt mean you play like that.
