A common situation in games seem to be that when a queen is blundered away or won through smart (lucky?) play, be that early, middle or late in the game, the opponent chooses to abandon or resign the game. I wonder why? Why give up so easily and dismiss a potential comeback, maybe even a win? Lots of stuff happen in a chess games, people can still play good without the queen, not least the opponent may also make blunders which can even out the queen loss. So why not play until the end and see what can happen instead of treating a queen loss as a king loss?
As an illustration. This happened in todays game, I blundered away the queen but kept playing, later in the game the opponent also blundered away the queen, even things out and suddenly a win seemed possible. https://www.chess.com/game/live/116260870117
Don’t give up until you are checkmated.
