He's trying and studying so hard that sometimes he forgets to eat.
Caruana has lost weight?
Just to see it in a nicer way for me:
6.11ft= 1.862328m 5.11ft 0in= 1.557528m 5ft 0in= 1.524000m
You are wrong. Carlsen is not only 1,55 m. There is something wrong here.
Ayy lmao, you didn't pass 6th grade maths did you? You can't just write 6.11 ft meaning 6 ft 11 in with a unit converter. 6 ft 11 in = 6.916 ft; you have 6 full feet + 11/12 (=0.916) of a foot. That transposes to 2,11 meters and 5 ft 11 in gives 1.80 meters, which makes a lot more sense.

The math rule is: if you write 5,11, it means the fraction has the same unit of the integer.
Like US$ 3.11 = 3 dollares and 11 cents.
If you want to write two measures, you NEED to specify:
5 ft 0.11 in. In USA, maybe they write it in an abbreviated form and it is confusing.

I agree. I see the same thing with dates as well - people write "6.9" for instance, and expect me to understand that they're talking about June 9th. Somehow they aren't aware that the expression could easily be construed as referring to June 27th.

Everybody's talking about Caruana being a midget, but look at how tiny Ding Liren is!

Caruana has dual citizenship but as a chess player he is Italian . Fabiano Caruana sounds more Italian than American to me anyway ....
Well, I've never felt comfortable calling Wesley So an American, but Fabiano at least grew up in the US until he was 12 or 13. I think it's reasonable to call him Italian-American.

No no no you don't get it! It is ok to write it this way but unit converters don't work this way! that is why it gave you the wrong measure, like someone already responded to you.

Ok, so your WASPS are a sort of European-American, how weird does that sound?
No, I think NKT73 makes a good point. Americans of other races are always looked at as "different", as if they are not "real" Americans. And Americans of white descent are never referred to as European-American, but Americans of Black, Hispanic, or Asian heritage are commonly referred to as African-Americans, Latino-American, and Asian-American. In fact, an American of Asian descent who was born in America and whose family has lived there for generations is actually considered to be less "American" compared to a European immigrant who lived in America for only a few years. This is because of the notion that being more white makes you more "American", regardless of anything else. It's kind of a systemic prejudice and bias that people constantly overlook and consider as normal because it has been this way for so long.
And yet, while acknowledging the bias, you assert that Wesley So is in his heart and soul a Filipino?

It's always funny to me when someone says, "you are wrong" when they are the ones who are completely wrong. And Americans get so much grief for not understanding how things work in other countries, but apparently the English system is too hard to grasp (which came from England btw, not the US).
He wrote it correctly to begin with 5'11". You say "if you write 5,11,", yeah, well he didn't write it like that, did he? And you're saying to specify it "5 ft 0.11 in." but that is still completely wrong. 12 inches go into a foot. So inches are base 12, not base 10 math. Stop thinking of 11 inches as a decimal, it's a fraction, 11/12.
I found Bobby Fischer's height, but they do not have Magnus':
