Changes to the puzzles in puzzle rush/puzzle battle?

Have the puzzles gotten easier over time? It seems like everyone's scores have gradually increased even if their ratings have remained the same. Are people just getting better at it?

Also I remember being 2100 in puzzle battle at one point while usually scoring 27-30. Now I'm in the 1800s in puzzle battle even though I usually score 30+. What's up with that?

May be people have become better at it! To be honest, I feel your rating has got nothing to do with puzzle rating. Higher puzzle rating can never be the indicator of your true chess strength. And there's also chance that people might take assistance while solving puzzles. So, I don't really care about puzzle rating. I just solve them to enhance my pattern recognition skills.

I think that the puzzle ratings are suffering from inflation. My puzzle rating on another site hasn’t changed significantly over the last 18 months, and that is in line with my subjective feeling that I haven’t really improved (unfortunately). But here my puzzle rating continues to climb (up about 500 points in the last year), which supports my impression that puzzles at a given rating are becoming easier.

I honestly haven't really noticed a difference in the difficulty of the problems (my puzzle rating has generally gone up here and on other sites). I think Alcofribas59's discrepancy may be caused by the difference in style of puzzles. For example Chesstempo puzzles tend to be far more defense-oriented, and the criteria for a successful solve is more abstract. A rating increase there would probably only have a minor correlation to the puzzle rating on this site, since the processes are quite different.

It shows the puzzle rating of the puzzle you solve after you solve it, and usually it is lower until you get a large streak
