I am a avid gamer. I usually know most games inside and out. This is probably why I like chess. It's a challenge to meet this goal. As I was looking into the scoring system of chess. I wanted to know what does it score. I know points off wins or losses but how does it pan out. What does the score actually mean? To me I am a 900 ish on my bad days. And I am around 1200 on my winning streaks. But what does this tell me about my playing characteristics.
As I look threw my games. I realized that when I lose its with 3 blunders or some times 4 an they follow my 900ish days when I find the game a bit hard.
Then I looked threw my games on days when I was more around 1200ish rating. And noticed my blunders for the most part was 1 out of ever 2 games.
So clearly for me. I need to focus on not blundering. What are the charateristics of a 1600 a 1900 and a 2200. Obviously I think the blunder rates at the 2200 level that I looked threw is like 1 blunder in 15 games or so. Following and anaylzing my favorite players.
What strategy do they look for most at these levels. How do they look for open opertunities before they appear?
Thanks for reading I would love a good reply.
