Please send in a bug report about the problem you are having. You can do this by clicking on the help icon at the top of the screen and it will say Fill in a bug report. I have tested the chat myself and didn't find a problem.
Maybe dogs aren't supposed to talk.

The Chat Warning still stands. Chess.com is no paper tiger, but with a proper mea copa, its claws may retract. I can again now suffer the slings and arrows of opponent's wrath.
