chat window dilemma

I changed my live-chess settings to automatically close my chat window, because I got tired of kiddieboppers telling me to hurry up, and making their sappy little IPAD acronyms after they had achived won positions.  So what happens?  People started accepting challenges and then aborting the games when they realized my chat window was closed.  So I have to wonder...

1. Is this place just full of virtual skate punks on a mission to annoy me however they can?

2. Does Chess.com have a Sales Prevention Dept. designed to disgust people so thoroughly that they never ever return?

3. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

4. What did you do?  Apart from just grinning and bearing the slings and arrows of Johnny Bobby Chessdweeb and his litter mates?

How do you know they're aborting because your chat window is closed?

Well what else would it be?  Is my king too tall, or what?

People abort because they want a different color; because they don't like you; because they clicked on the wrong game; because they think it's funny; because they decided not to play, etc.
