how should the guaranteed improvement look like? How can a coach know your ability and your iq at all?

Just assuming you are willing to improve but have a brain like a smashed pumpkin then the coach has nothing to work with. But then still guaranteeing something is like peeing in the snow. Senseless and without any usage for anyone.

BronsteinPawn

No coach can guarantee improvement.

urk
A coach can only guarantee small improvement. Except for beginners. Beginners will certainly see huge gains.

Yes, his username here is xisco949.  He's the cheapest one I know and does a good job.  Contact him with my username and I bet he could fit you in

Actually, I believe a coach can guarantee improvement if the student also guarantees participation and study.  For example, if the student guarantees to do x minutes of tactics , x minutes of study and x minutes of game time each week they will improve.  How much they improve (and how you measure it) is another thing.  And I'm assuming the student is willing to improve and not just fake it.

No coach will guarantee improvement, that is just setting yourself for disaster, frauds and trolling.

Well, I mean, all coaches will tell you if you study and make things how I say you will improve, but if you make them sign a paper with legal repercusions Ill doubt they do it.

No coach will offer guaranteed improvement unless you are willing to do the hard work and spend hours in front of the board. And no good coach comes cheap either. If you are determined to stay focused for 1 year and can spend some serious money, check out chessmasterschool. This is my first month with them and I have only good things to say about the program. I was 1600+ in blitz until last month. In one month I gained around 150+ points here all due to my study of their course material. Do your research, but until you put in your time and effort, you won't become better even if you manage to get Kasparov to train you.
