Did anyone play time cheaters? They run down their time and on the last few seconds it switches to yours and you lose? I have reported it with no results. Don’t know how they do that. I was also watching game where every move would add seconds to the guy that was losing on time. Wierd cheat

Your opponents can't impact your clocks or connection. What you're describing is being disconnected from the live server.

The second thing was either lag compensation, small disconnects, or increment

Many of the games I play seem to involve cheaters. Would it be possible to implement a filter that only matches me with players who have a verified, serious profile? Otherwise i believe playing on chess.com is a waist of time.

The site tried a verification program before. It was well received and some of those accounts got closed for fair play violations.

However, the perception of cheating levels is orders of magnitude more than the actual amount.

https://www.chess.com/article/view/chesscom-update-december-2024?alert=content#FairPlay

The site closed more than 74,000 accounts in September for fair play violations and has a full team of staff working on reports along with some automated systems for detection.

That said, discussions of cheating, potential cheating, or cheat detection are not allowed in the general forums. If you want to discuss join the following club
