What is the point of arguing with an obnoxious troll like Real-Rain?

Just report (if you wanna) and move on. Let it be the moderators' problem. Which they will solve by closing this thread and doing nothing.

I agree sometimes it's meaningless though

The great irony is that folks like Real-Rain complain about censorship and locking and are utterly unaware of how much leeway Chess.com and its moderators give them. He's thrown out several quite nasty insults about the site and its mods and he might get a warning for abuse which he is very likely to ignore. He can continue on with that level of vitriol and yes, Chess.com won't do anything to his account. If it escalates into profanity or clearly against the Terms of Service, he might get a mute, but his account won't be closed.

I think it's one of the reasons there's such a high turnover of moderators - they have to accept these sort of insults and character attacks without retaliation and most eventually get fed up with it. They start off with noble intentions but then the reality of dealing with grubby minds and grubby people wears them down over time. It happened to even the original and one of the best, @kohai, although granted there were other health issues there contributing to that. It's one of the reasons I have an enormous amount of respect for @Martin_Stahl, who's been a mod for ages now and still answers patiently and objectively. It takes a particular set of character strengths and a good support system to be able to pull that off.

Those playing from home will notice that the dozens of games Magipi has played over the past year are all against bots, and this account is clearly either a mod shill account or is an account controlled by a chatbot to provide contrary arguments to cheating discussion.

When did I insult a person beyond their immediate biased, propagandistic, and authoritarian behavior. I've not insulted anyone's intelligence, ability, etc. This is oppressive atmosphere where I am probably talking to bots or paid shills hired by chess.com to quell cheating discussion. That's a fact, not an insult.

You do realize how cults operate is eith the feeling that only your opinion is supported and everyone else is against you

Is your opinion cultlike cause I'm getting vibes that people fall only into three categories 1.dummy 2.paid off by chess.com 3.bots which are only s small part of the userbase

Irony, again: from my recollection, @magipi has been consistently critical of the site and its defenders over a long period of time. I think the reason he plays against bots is that he also believes that cheating is rampant in the normal player pool, but I could be misremembering that. But the fact that even he sees your BS for what it is is very amusing.

Cults require a leader and followers. I am on my own here, you are part of a co-ordinating team on the other hand. Take from that what you will.

It isn't a fact it's actually a insult your the oppressive one sure they oppress some people but I gotta tell you why haven't they banned you yet ? Why are you basically allowed to say whatever you want it's not really so oppressive for you is it ?

You are insulting people you don't realize it because you pretend to be the insulted one

Im 55 years old. Have fide rating 1750. Am 1845 in blitz and just above 2000 in rapid here st chess.com, Have played chess since my early 20. Cheating at chess.com in parts of the game (smart cheating) constitutes around 40% at the ratinglevels from 900-2500. Once you have got established rating you will jo-jo up and down unless you cheat yourself upeards. That is my experience. Lichess is the worst though. Chess.com is actually good place to stay. We just have to accept that cheating is a big part online chess today. Sorry

There is no way that 40% of games involve cheating - that’s just rampant paranoia. Join the cheating forum and post some PGNs with the unidentifiable info stripped where you think there’s cheating involved and you’ll learn how mistaken you are.

I love how you don't consider that cheating could be: using an eval bar in game, using an opening tree, rating manipulation. You just spend infinite time spewing nothing to see her propaganda. Chess.com should be ashamed for using these propaganda accounts.
