Cheating with time in chess

Certainly, time was introduced into chess to avoid extremely long games, nevertheless, this created a big misuse, with players "winning" just making stupid moves just because time time was running out, or some other making tricks to steal time. Strict time should be avoided, and instead incremental time for each move done should be adopted.

The clock is part of the game.

Perhaps, but this site has many bizarre options like "chess with 4 players" or "king of the hill", or "first to give 3 checks wins", etc, but unfortunately y LACKS an incremental time option.

You can choose to use an increment in settings

Live chess has increments like 15|0, 3|2, and 1|1

Also you put cheating in the title as clickbait didn't you

I Just hate to loose just one move before check mate just because a stupid second where as the other player just did random moves just to waste time. I don't care about clicks, and I don't know what does "clicks" are good for. I am here to play standard real chess, not get "clicks" nither to play "ping pong" with chess pieces. If you are here to get "clicks" perhaps you are at the wrong place.

The timer wasn’t invented or brought to chess by Chess.com it’s been a thing in tournaments since 1861 and the reason they added them in the first place was because games would be too long most would go on for hours on end. So they added it to make games shorter and add a sense of urgency because hypothetically before 1861 you could just simply sit there forever pondering your move and that would get boring.

If a player is just about to mate his opponent, but his time runs out ... then he used too much time to gain a position to mate his opponent.

I am a slow player. I often lose when in a superior position with superior accuracy and a superior review. My opponent had superior time management. Another way to put it is that I had inferior time management. I need to learn to play well but play faster.

Is is what it is.

I think you're giving OP way too much credit.

chesswlh4 if read CAREFULLY the very first thing I SAID it's I am aware time was introduced into chess to avoid extremely long games, but I think that's ok for normal games with 30 minuts each player, but this has degenerated into "playing" stupidly in 3 minutes or less. Furthermore, in 1861 there was not internet, and you could not cheat with time like many player seems to do, somehow hacking the server to STEAL time and create thier selves the ilusion the "win" .

SagebrushSea, it's clear you have not observed well the chess.com clock, with some frecuency it behaves badly, some times after several moves suddenly clock adds time to the opponent and rest it from the other player.

Ah ok that makes more sense now.
