a checkmate move is a blunder???

(how do you post image? no icon for image posting. i thought i can simply paste it here. it appears when i paste it, but it does not post)

Maybe the computer thinks checkmate is not fancy enough.

To post an image, look at the second icon from the left on the top of the chat box. But I've also seen this in a drill, where it said something like Qc7# is a blunder when Qb8# was the best move.

I had the same issue, and thought, even my checkmates are blunders! This was from Puzzles --> Practice vs Computer

I think what happens is that it's the wrong checkmate. Maybe the computer has a specific move it likes, (a checkmate) so any other checkmate is considered inferior.

I think it prefers one checkmate other than the other. Check if the ‘best’ checkmate is near the center. Computers love the center.
